Brett
J. Banakis (Scenic & Lighting Design)
Brett is excited to have designed Scenery and Lighting for
the world premiere of JUNK: A Rock Opera at the Steve
Allen Theatre and for its subsequent run at Lyric Theatre
LA. Past Lyric Theatre LA productions include A Funny
Thing Happen... and Side By Side Sondheim. Other
Scenic Design credits include On Your Toes for Reprise!
Broadway's Best, They're Playing Our Song and Nuncrackers for
Valley Musical Theatre, and Urinetown for UCLA's Ray
Bolger Musical Theater Program. As a Design Associate, Brett's
work includes productions of Wishful Drinking, A
Picasso, Speed-The-Plow, Atlanta, Paint
Your Wagon, You Can't Take It With You, Take
Me Out, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and The Quality
Of Life at the Geffen Playhouse; Cosí Fan Tutte at
Seattle Opera; Camelot National Tour for McCoy-Rigby; Sunset
Boulevard at the Hollywood Bowl; Gem Of The Ocean at
Seattle Repertory; James And The Giant Peach at South
Coast Repertory; Noises Off at CLO South Bay and UC
Davis, Over The River And Through The Woods at La
Mirada Playhouse; and four productions of Plaid Tidings.
Brett holds a BA in Theater Arts from UCLA's School of Theater,
Film and Television and is currently pursuing an MFA in Design
for Stage and Film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

Miguel
Barragan (Costume Design)
Miguel holds a B.A. from UC Riverside and a Professional
Designation Degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandise, Los Angeles. He has participated in several
performance art projects and is a member of the international
ensemble, MultiPac. He has also worked as production associate
for Two Triangles, Overlapping; Arena y Sangre, a Mujeres
of Juarez Project and the world premier of JUNK: A Rock Opera
at the Steve Allen Theatre. Past costume design credits include:
JUNK: A Rock Opera at the Lyric Theater, Pa'Fuschia's Quinceanera,
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at the Lyric Theater.
Assistant Costume Designer to Ms May Routh for “Boise,
U.S.A.” at the Matrix Theater. Most recently, Miguel
has worked with middle school students in an after-school
program where he has created a Fashion and Design class.
Miguel currently works as a fashion and costume designer
in the Los Angeles area. |

Ramie Becker (Choreography)
Ramie has choreographed many productions for theatre companies
and colleges, including Pippin, The Wiz, West Side Story,
and Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2006, she founded the Random
Acts of Irreverent Dance and the "RAID" collective,
a dance troupe that organizes guerrilla dance performances
around the greater Los Angeles area and performs monthly
at the Echoplex in Echo Park. Ramie is a nightlife, music
and arts contributor to Los Angeles CityBeat, and MetroMix
and is a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times. She is
also a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Dance History and Theory
at UC Riverside. |

DeReau
K. Farrar (Music Director)
DeReau K. Farrar has performed in presentations to sold-out
audiences at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler
Pavilion, Chicago's Civic Opera Theater, and Nationaltheater
Munich. His recent work has been with Los Angeles Opera,
Lyric Opera of Chicago, Los Angeles Master Chorale, California
Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Nova in Santa Monica, Intimate
Opera Company in Arcadia, Repertory Opera Company in Los
Angeles, Bear Valley Music Festival, and Classical Singers'
Association in Los Angeles. DeReau looks forward to his upcoming
work with, Orange County's Pacific Chorale, San Diego's brand
new Sacra/Profana, and the Los Angeles Choral Artists. Member

Clare Gmur (Stage
Manager)
Clare is overjoyed to continue as part of EpicMegaPro,
and the magic of Junk: A Rock Opera. She has worked in theatre
for the past 10-11 years, depending on who's counting, doing
everything and anything. She studied stage management at
CalArts, and holds a degree in Art History and Religious
Studies from UC Riverside, which she uses every day. Clare
enjoyed a wonderful year at the Lyric Theatre as the Resident
Stage Manager where recent productions included the world
premiere of the musical A Piece of Tin, The Blowin of Baile
Gall, and Craig Wright's The Pavilion. |

Zachary
Provost (Musical Director)
Zachary is the musical director for JUNK: A Rock Opera and
is happy to be involved in such an exciting and creative
community project. Grammy-winning producer David Foster places
Zachary at the top of his list of talented musicians, saying "the
depth of his musicianship is endless and his great songwriting,
arranging and production skills make him a triple threat." In
addition to recording and performing regularly throughout
world and a 5-year stint as Josh Groban's musical director,
Zachary has also performed alongside Elton John, Carlos Santana,
Quincy Jones and Willie Nelson among many others. Signed

Justin
Winokur (Brainpool’s U.S. Agent and Associate
Producer)
Justin is a possibility thinker—always looking for what can be gained by
making a move. He founded music management company JWC
Artist Group and currently
manages Brainpool, two-time gold record winners and authors of Junk: A Rock
Opera. As both a producer and executive producer, he raised funds for the
first workshop production of Junk - A Rock Opera at the Steve Allen Theatre.
He has taught music business at Cogswell College (Sunnyvale, California). He
booked a U.S. concert tour for Norwegian grammy-winning artist Bigbang. He was
a vice president of programming for the San Francisco Summer Music Conference,
where he planned the event's curriculum. He's currently the marketing director
for the Los Angeles Music Network. Based in Los Angeles, Winokur speaks and reads
Swedish and holds a permanent resident's visa for Sweden, allowing him to live
and work there. |
